Thanks to our Business Partners!

AMSEC, Carver’s number one business partner, has once again come through to help out our Carver students. Through their “School Supplies Fund Raising Drive” Kinsey Hall and Pam Ponton, pictured with Carver Principal Alicia Spencer, Assistant Principal Jeff Armstrong and Carver Business Partner coordinator Randi Turczynski, collected boxes of school supplies. |
| These supplies are used at the beginning of the year to help our students who, for whatever reason, are unable to purchase the supplies on the grade level list. It has been such a pleasure to be able to bring our students who don’t have what they need to the “AMSEC Closet” and have them select their very own backpack and supplies. The students then have everything that everyone else has. | ![]() |

Carver teachers all showed up in the Carver Auditorium when Kinsey Hall and Pam Ponton from AMSEC showed up to let them know how much AMSEC’s contributions to our students were appreciated. Everyone then pitched in to unload the supplies and carry them into the school, where they will wait for our students who need them. |

Carver has formed a parnership with AMSEC, a limited liability company jointly owned by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and Northrop Grumman Newport News. AMSEC is housed in Newmarket North, and our partners have already been instrumental in helping our students prepare for the school year. Our AMSEC partners plan to continue working with Carver as tutors and mentors throughout the school year. The employees from AMSEC held a school supply drive to provide supplies for students who are unable to provide their own. AMSEC employees created backpacks filled with classroom supplies, ready to go when the students show up, as well as numerous rulers, loose leaf paper, construction paper, composition books, protractors, glue, glue sticks, pencils, pens, uniform supplies and more than 100 boxes of crayons. They also collected a generous amount of cash for our Carver uniform fund. We are thrilled and excited to partner with AMSEC in helping our students learn! Welcome on board, AMSEC!
